È meglio conosciuta come cantante del gruppo Siouxsie and the Banshees (1976-1996) e il duo The Creatures (1981-2005). Siouxsie and the Banshees hanno pubblicato 11 album in studio e molti singoli fra i top 20 nel Regno Unito, tra cui Hong Kong Garden, Happy House, Peek-a-Boo, più un US Billboard top 25 hit Kiss Them for Me. Con The Creatures, Siouxsie ha registrato quattro album in studio e il singolo Right Now. Ha inoltre cantato con artisti come Morrissey e John Cale. Ha lanciato le carriere di Sid Vicious e Robert Smith dei Cure che sono stati musicisti per il suo gruppo rispettivamente batterista e chitarrista.
