Lowinsky – “Triste Sbaglio Sempre Lontani”

Ventitré minuti di musica: I Lowinsky tornano con un mini-album che nasconde un concept. Sei canzoni e un filo conduttore che si allaccia, con partecipazione e rispetto, ai temi cari alla poetica del Buzzati de “Il deserto dei Tartari”, citato in coda a “Nessuno si ricorderà di noi”: illusione, attesa di un’occasione, distanza incolmabile, (vano) anelito all’infinito, fallimento delle aspettative, incomunicabilità.
Partendo da una classica ricetta sonica indie rock, con sfumature folk ed emo, è sempre la melodia a guidare “Triste Sbaglio Sempre Lontani”, filtrata da uno sguardo distante, ma attento, a tutti i riferimenti di Carlo Pinchetti, autore delle canzoni, in un turbinio di collegamenti che uniscono gli ultimi Bright Eyes ai Velvet Underground, attraverso Lemonheads, Replacements e Rogér Fakhr.

Hanno inoltre collaborato Linda Gandolfi, Andy Burch, Claudio Turco, Fabio Comensoli, Roberto Frassini Moneta, Elena Ghisleri, Gianluca Vulpio,Ettore Gilardoni e Massimo De Cario.
Tutte le tracce sono state registrate tra la sede di Gasterecords a Cologno al Serio (BG) e il FTS Studio di Almè (BG) da Giorgio Vitali, ad eccezione di “Bottom of the barrel”, registrata da Ettore Gilardoni al Real Sound Studio di Milano.
Le tracce 1,3 e 5 sono state mixate da Ettore Gilardoni, le tracce 2, 4 e 6 da Claudio Turco.

Lowinsky è il progetto collettivo dello stesso Pinchetti che, dopo le esperienze, a cavallo degli anni Dieci, con Daisy Chains e Finistère, e l’intermezzo di un disco acustico solista a suo nome, sceglie di proseguire con il formato band. Al suo fianco, negli anni, diversi amici-musicisti, che contribuiscono, a vari livelli, alla realizzazione di un EP, un album e alcuni singoli, tutti pubblicati da Moquette Records.

A settembre 2023 è uscito il primo singolo tratto da “Triste Sbaglio Sempre Lontani”: “Doppio Gioco”, pubblicato da Rocketman Records sul lato A di un vinile 7’’ split, che vede la partecipazione, sul lato B, dell’amico Drew McConnell (Helsinki), bassista e co-autore dei Babyshambles, nonché strumentista in diverse formazioni, tra cui i mitici La’s.

Twenty-three minutes of music: Lowinsky return with a mini-album that hides a concept. Six songs and a common thread that is linked, with participation and respect, to the main themes of Buzzati’s poetics in “Il deserto dei Tartari”, cited at the end of “Nessuno si ricorderà di noi”: illusion, waiting for an opportunity, unbridgeable distance, (vain) longing for the infinite, failure of expectations, incommunicability.
Starting from a classic indie rock sonic recipe, with folk and emo nuances, it is always melody that guides “Triste Sbaglio Sempre Lontani”, filtered by a distant but attentive look at all the references of Carlo Pinchetti, author of the songs, in a whirlwind of connections that connect the latest Bright Eyes with the Velvet Underground, through the Lemonheads, the Replacements and Rogér Fakhr.

Lowinsky is the collective project of Pinchetti himself who, after his experiences at the turn of the 2010s with Daisy Chains and Finistère, and the interlude of a solo acoustic album by his name, chose to continue with the band format. Alongside him, over the years, were several musician/friends, who contributed, at various levels, to the creation of an EP, an album and some singles, all published by Moquette Records.
In September 2023, “Doppio Gioco”, the first single from “Triste Sbaglio Sempre Lontani” was released by Rocketman Records on the A side of a 7” split vinyl, which features the participation, on the B side, of  Drew McConnell (Helsinki), bassist and co-songwriter of Babyshambles, as well as instrumentalist in various bands, including the legendary La’s.
